Senior Cricket is played on Saturdays with first and second teams. Cricket has been played in Guilsborough since 1890, at various locations, and at the Playing Field since 1978. A Guilsborough Social & Gentleman’s team occasionally play on Sundays.

Junior Cricket for those aged between 7 and 17 is played 3 times per week with practices or games on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Junior cricket has been played since 1982.

Junior League Football is played on Sundays for under 9 & 10s year olds, and started in 2004.
|
|
|
Bowls is played daily with regular competitions in the summer by an enthusiastic group of mainly senior citizens. Bowls has been played since 1987. Recently children from Guilsborough School have been taught to play and some have played for the club.

Guilsborough School use the facilities for cricket games and practices.
|
|
|
Guilsborough Primary School has used the facilities for football coaching and each year for their Sports Day.

1977 Temporary changing and toilet facilities were initially installed.
|
|
|
1985/6 Lawn Green Bowling Pitch built by members.
|
|
|
1992 An artificial cricket wicket was installed on the East side of the square and is used for most of the Junior Cricket games.

1994 A new Changing Pavilion and Tractor shed. It had become clear in 1991 that the original facilities were inadequate and inhibited the development of sporting activities in such an ideal location. Fund-raising and grants were obtained after much effort which culminated in the new changing facilities.

1998 New Practice and Batting Bowling Nets were built. They have been frequently used by cricketers of all ages in Guilsborough and the surrounding area. Cost £9,000.

|
2000 An automatic watering system for the elderly Bowls players was installed. Cost £6,000.
|
|
|
2000 A manual but powerful watering system to the Cricket Square was installed. £1,000.
|
|
|
2000 An Electricity supply to the Bowls Trailer was installed, requiring a 200 metres trench.
|
|
|
2000 A modern Drainage System installed. The original Mole Drains had collapsed, which frequently resulted in the Field becoming waterlogged and cancelled games. Cost £20,000.

|
2000 Another Tractor, (the engine of the previous one corroded which was the final “Nail in the coffin”. Cost £3,000.
|
|
|
2003 50% of the cricket square was re-laid at a cost of £9,000.
|
|
|
2004 The remaining 50% of the cricket square was re-laid,cost £9,000.
|
|
|
2005 A new sit-on roller was purchased at a cost of £6,000 thanks to the Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation.
