Remembrance Day

Poppies

On Saturday 24th October there will be a short ceremony on the village green at 2.30 to dedicate a display of poppies created and crafted by volunteers in memory of those who gave their lives in the service of their country.

The ceremony will be followed by refreshments in the village hall. The display will be assembled in Guilsborough village hall on Saturday 10th October starting at 10.00am.

Pam Townsend will be designing the display with the poppies collected before 3rd October. We would welcome volunteers to help with assembling the display. please come and join us.

Parade

The Remembrance Day Service will be on Sunday 8th November at St Etheldreda's Church Guilsborough. The Parade will assemble in the car park at the Witch and Sow and commence marching to the church at 2.30 led by the Cadet Band. We would like to see as many people as possible join the parade.

Refreshments will be served in the church after the service.
