Buckby Library & Hub

If you are not a member, why not join the library? It’s free to join! Buckby Library & Hub provides many library services as well as supporting group activities and organising events. With books for all ages and interests, we provide access to computers and wifi, photocopying, printing and laminating, and can access many other services besides. Here are some services you might not be aware of (and there are more!):

Borrow Box

This is your access to ebooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines. There are hundreds and they are free to download. You can borrow up to 5 items of each; the borrowing period is 3 weeks.

Taking your driving test?

You can access Theory Test Pro, which is a highly realistic online simulation of the UK's driving theory test. It contains the entire official test question bank, hazard perception video clips and an online version of the Highway Code. You need to register (for free). Just contact Buckby Library & Hub to see how to go about it.

Interested in your family’s history?

You can use our Northamptonshire Libraries People's Network computers to access Ancestry and Find My Past and search billions of family history records.

And do remember our books for sale – both on the book trolleys and our premium books. Come and see what we have!

Monthly film nights - Tuesday 27th February, we are showing The Miracle Club. “There’s just one tantalising dream for the women of Ballygar to taste freedom: to win a pilgrimage to the sacred French town of Lourdes. Ballygar, Ireland, 1967. A hard-knocks community in outer Dublin marches to its own beat, with a little benevolent interference from its cheeky and rebellious priest, close friends Lily, Eileen, Dolly and Sheila are the ‘lucky’ few to win this ticket of a lifetime at their riotous local raffle night.” Doors open 7pm for a 7.30 start. Refreshments available. Tickets, £7, from the Peephole in the High Street in Long Buckby, and the Library & Hub.
