Thornby Village Hall Annual Summer BBQ Saturday 12th July 2025.
A huge thank you to John and Sally for hosting our Village Hall BBQ on Saturday. It was very hot but the fantastic marquee and gorgeous shady spots under the trees were idyllic. John and Sally really do spoil us, we feel truly blessed for their generosity, attention to detail, help and support. Although a lot of hard work happens behinds the scenes, John’s humour kept us all entertained. We all now know how to tie a very useful slip knot.
Thank you so much to you all for joining us, villagers, family, and friends. Thank you for the cash and tombola donations, and the 10 donated brilliant prizes in the raffle! Special thanks to Simon and Louise for always supporting our events with their generous raffle prize, Pete Straiton for his very popular raffle prize, to all the villagers that couldn’t attend but still sent cash donations, raffle and tombola prizes and wished us well.
It really was a wonderful afternoon, for a small Village we are so lucky to always be supported so well. This event is our chance to get everyone together for a wonder afternoon and celebrate our stunning little Village Hall now used and enjoyed more than ever! We raised an incredible £254, this will help us to continue to enjoy and maintain the Hall.
Best wishes
